I Love You

“Say it.”

He recoiled and looked shocked. He swallowed hard and opened his mouth but no words escaped.

“Damn it! Say the words, Kyle!”

He was blinking rapidly. He stuttered when he spoke. “I.. I.. I was showing.. showing it you, Quinn. I.. it’s just that.. it’s quite hard.. I… I’m sorry.” He exhaled and his face looked struggling.

I nodded slowly and retrieved my purse from the couch. He held my wrist. “Where are you going?”

I pulled my arm back and stared at him.

“Sometimes, actions may speak different words. With you, I don’t know if its concern, care or love. I’ll just go home.”

I walked toward the door and shut it as I left his dorm. Tears came rushing as I walked and I reminded myself some memorable things why I loved him in the first place.
