Get Over It

“Are you going to throw that necklace I gave you?”

I looked at him. Really looked at him. Until now, I couldn’t believe he was married to my best friend.

“Yep.” I answered coolly.

“But… why?”

I shrugged when I answered. “Reminds me of you. Hated that feeling.” I winked at him. I turned and walked away.

I stopped the tears that were coming. I promised myself I would get over this.

I continued to walk far away from him and made sure that I would never ever look back.
