Burning Heart

She’s standing before me. Her eyes are hollow and her smile is weak. I can see her body, clear as glass though her heart is red as fire. Flames encircle her heart and sparks erupted around it. I reach for it. Once my cold hands touch her heart, my fingers warm. I smile, but it doesn’t stop there. My eyes widen as the fire burns my skin, up to my arms. I snatch my hand back, but the fire won’t stop consuming my frail mind and body. I catch her smiling eyes before I feel the fire takes the last piece of my body.
