My body is wide awake, but my mind is still in sleep. My eyes are open, but I’m still dreaming. I stare at the dark, gray skies full of disturbing clouds. It’s scary. I’m about to choose to properly sleep, to brush away the dark skies, when the animals in my head screech, loud and clear. Every sound of the howl, every sound of growl brings bleed to my ears. I cover my ears, but the sounds won’t go. I close my eyes and pray for sleep to come. The faith I always raise triumphs. The morning comes and I rub my eyes. I let out a happy sigh. Once again, I win.
