Just Like Today

BG

I smiled. The way they beamed at me, comforted and warmed my insides. The way their eyes, filled with sweet candies, aimed at me made me feel special. The way their hands patted my back strengthened me. The way their small yet striking words allured me gave a boost to my confidence.

Though the days and weeks have passed since then. The perfect storm I don’t want to happen came. My eyes are filled with silent tears and my mouth is giving a forced smile to everyone.

I go to a corner and look at the world. Where is everybody? Where are they just when I need them? Where have they gone?

The rage I never feel, but I feel sorry for myself. What is wrong with getting attached and hoping too much? Lots, I notice. Loads of possibilities can happen.

Just like today.

THE END
