Purity

We’ve lost something heavy on the shore, but we’re still glad we’ve found something we never thought we can have. Our knees bring the faces of pain and all the sacrifices we’ve made, but we do our best to ignore it. We believe our hushed words of sugars will heal the bleeding wounds.

When the news came in that you were broken, it brought out the worst in me. All I was seeing was your fake tears, but I never saw the truth in what you felt. Just today, where it’s kind of late.

In return, I’ll be here. I’ll be your wall against the crashing waves or your water against the fires of hell. I’ll stay, more for you than myself. Don’t you worry, I’ll never judge you. I’ll just keep you close and love whatever is left of you.

let me hold your words before you leave;
