“Your local electronics store has just started selling time machines, anywhere doors, and invisibility helmets. You can only afford one. Which of these do you buy, and why?

“Hey, what do you have today?” I asked Mike, the electronic store manager of the future.
“Well, we have a time machine, an anywhere door and an invisibility helmet. All single quantities, so you can only have one.”
I huffed. “What? That’s unfair!”
Mike smiled. “What’s not unfair in life?” I shook my head at him and he laughed. “What do you want, then?”
I tapped my chin. “Anywhere door, Mike.” I solemnly said.
He started punching keys in his cashier. His brows furrowed. “May I know why? Maybe you want to visit your lover or what?” He said, lightening up the mood.
“Mike, isn’t it beautiful to not stay in one place as you can visit and take any new surroundings? I bet the feeling is pure paradise. Imagine yourself stepping out in front of the Eiffel Tower or in a busy place in New York City. How about in Rome or in Milan? I really think London has a great touch of history. Can you feel it, Mike? Can you feel the rush of excitement and beauty?”
“This is your hometown. Why will you want to leave?”
“Everyone carries something dark within them, Mike. And sometimes, some just want to break free to keep on living.” I shrugged at him.
“Alright, alright. No more words from me except how do you plan to pay for it?” He raised his eyebrow and I bit my lip.
“Well, a homemade vanilla milkshake in a year for free?” I asked with uncertainty.
He rolled his eyes. “You’re unbelievable.” I laughed and he just smiled.
