TITLE: Mystery
WORD COUNT: 100

I touch the wooden railing. “Why did you bring me here?” I ask him.

“You said you love mystery books, so I brought you here. Stories said a couple was hanging around here. The girl already wanted to marry the boy, but he wasn’t ready yet. In fact, he brought her here, where they first met, because he wanted a clean break-up. In the end, because of rage, the girl shot him and left the place.”

Pain ignited inside me. “I know.”

“You already knew it? How?”

I take my gun out. “I was the girl.” I pull the trigger.
