The silence in the library screams loud and I crash it. My sincere yet ear-tearing laugh booms around the hall and a few students start to give me a dirty eye, but I can’t stop. My friend, Rex, puts his hand on my mouth.
“Hey! You need to shut your mouth.” He whispers with authority.
“I can’t! This book’s so funny!”
“Why? What happened?”
“The lady character just died because of her stupidity! And I can’t help it, but…” Another snicker.
Rex’s eyebrows furrow. “What’s so funny about death?”
My laugh subsides and I look straight into his eyes. “Some people deserve cruel actions and fate. It’s their own meaning of lessons learned.” I clear my throat and shut the book.
