Blink (Poetry)

stock-footage-hd-fast-blinking-lightsthe lights blink
whenever they see us
smiling for others.
the photos we have
in our living room
have small cracks
hidden behind our
gleaming faces.
the steam the food
pushes out understands
our relationship.
there is no place
for us here;
all corners are taken
and it seems like
it is time to just go.
dear, you have built my house,
but destroyed my home.
