Open Letter #3 (A Flash Fiction)

When you’re ready, I hope that you’ll read this.

Do you still remember what the dreamers dreamed when they induced nightmares from their sleep? They said it was them, drowning under the sea and losing the hands of their lovers by the shore. They fought the water, determined to save themselves for their lovers, but they found out in the end that all went burned when it was their lovers who almost caused their death. For what reason? The lovers told them they feared losing them to someone else that they opted to slowly kill them, in hope that they would see each other, and no one else, in death.

And if you’re reading this, I just want you to know that I’ve started dreaming about you being one of the dreamers the night I pushed and lost you.
