photographed above the head. (friday fictioneers).

Greetings! Below is my story for this week’s challenge. Check out Ms. Rochelle’s page for more information about this [week’s] fun writings! Let’s hammer this story!

“photographed above the head.”

We were treading the ocean through your handmade boat when you decided that I was only a hindrance in your ride to another island. You sent me down the dark waters and I paddled to keep my head above the killing machine.

But, then, your laughter might be my zing to wake me up from the terrors of our dreams.

I thought relationships would be healthy if one was oppressed for the other to offer saving.

All my fault.

Still, I survived — like a lone autumn leaf stuck between the grills of the pavement, quietly waiting for a becoming.

Thank you for reading this story. I hope you’ll read a lot from me. If you ever feel the need to give me some writing advice, do not hesitate to reach me through my “Contact” page. All the best love, my dear.
