Beneath the makeshift hut, we sat around the rectangular table. I faced the Master of our session while you sulked at the far end. Several mouths—including mine—spilled fireworks upon the selections. Around four pairs of lips were missing; they were broken, pissed and exhausted. You were one of them.
It took one open door for you to defend what you believe was right; we all agreed with you, but as the sun colored itself with darkness, so did we—the darker it got, the more power we imparted. Perhaps you did not like our heads and hearts—I did not like it, either, do not worry. Perhaps it was enough to set your mind on fire.
The next sunset, your first blade began to sink into my skin and your second hit just splintered my lungs. You were brave only when I could not see you. Was it too much for you to speak your thoughts?
You kept your words at a subtle rage, but I found it. I knew I was one of the faults you desired to get rid of; I guess I wanted to kill me, too.
