in the light of darkness.

In the darkness of our hearts, I lit a candle and held the white soft stick through my quivering fingers. I blew out a thunderous breath before I captured your nonchalant blue eyes. I had always known the coldness of the dark, but it never dawned in me how fierce it was.

“Kill the light,” you said. A thousand hurricanes swiveled with your stiff tone, but I would not. It was the only soul I could embrace from you.

“Please let me see you.”

Perhaps your two deaf ears bled to rage from my sincerity. After a millisecond, I became alone again.
